Based in Mount Thorley, we are committed to safety, precision, and continual improvement across all aspects of our operation.We are currently seeking a hands-on and proactive Production Supervisor CNC Workshop to join our production team.About the RoleReporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of Machinists, Programmers, and Operators. Your responsibilities include overseeing daily production, coordinating maintenance activities, upholding safety standards, and driving continuous improvement within the workshop.Key Responsibilities:Plan and manage the execution and organisation of an accurate production schedule.Oversee programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC and automated equipment.Review production and resolve processing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Ensure maximum utilisation of production equipment, including CNC Machining Centres, CNC Profiling & Laser machines, and other plant and equipment.Coordinate with Maintenance Planners to schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and repairs.Through effective planning, scheduling, and optimisation of run times, reduce downtime.Lead toolbox talks, production meetings, and team communications.Ensure strict compliance with WHS policies and contribute to a safe working environment.Develop and deliver on-the-job training for new and existing team members.Manage rosters, approve leave, and monitor timekeeping in line with company policies.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and optimise run times.Check job costings and prepare jobs for dispatch and invoicing, ensuring tasks are completed within budget, on time, and to quality standards.Supervise and review production orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications, and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.Minimum 5 years of supervisory and management experience.Previous CNC machine centre operation and programming experience with OKUMA 4 & 5 Axis.Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment.High attention to detail.Leadership training and/or diploma qualification.Experience with CNC processing equipment such as Amada Laser, MAZAK Laser Beamline, KINETIC Plasma Profile machines is highly regarded.Demonstrated financial management skills.Overhead crane competence.ERP business system experience.Benefits and Perks:This is a full-time permanent role, offering stability and long-term prospects.Work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a cutting-edge environment.Stay fit with onsite fully equipped gym facilities.Expand your knowledge and experience in manufacturing.Ongoing training opportunities to further develop your skills.As part of the recruitment process, suitable applicants will be required to attend a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.Role TypeCompany OverviewHedweld is a proud family-owned and renowned regional Australian innovator and manufacturer, established in 1980.
