One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?How will your ideas contribute to shaping whats next?We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join us an 18 month Fixed term contract to support our payroll function for Australia & New Zealand.This role requires a multifaceted skill set and a keen eye for detail to manage diverse payroll responsibilities while ensuring effective communication with a strong focus on discretion and confidentiality. You will utilise payroll outcomes to consider opportunities for improvement.This Role Will IncludeOverseeing critical areas such as child support, garnishee, IRD arrears, and ACC unpaid leave. You''ll drive accuracy in reporting by managing Super, STP, and ensuring an error-free log.Handling reporting and administration tasks related to Workers'' Compensation, Jury Duty, and Novated Leasing.Responsible for handling Payroll Tax including data reconciliation ensuring precision through thorough data reconciliation for the correct capture of components.Managing IRD Arrears, ACC unpaid leave, IRD lodgement of gross wages and managing the reconciliation of negative values and and steering the Quarterly Employment Survey for New ZealandWorking and engaging with the key stakeholders across the business to help improve and further develop the payroll systems functionality and capability.Providing guidance and support to AGSS Shared Payroll Service, solving problems independently and swiftly.Lead strategic and change management initiatives to improve the payroll function on an ongoing basis.How will your future be shaped by us?Joining Aurecon means youll be at the award-winning edge of innovation and sustainability. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.As well as significant experience in a similar role. Specifically:Demonstrated experience interpreting payroll outcomes, reviewing internal processes, and harness a sound understanding of relevant awards and payroll legislative / regulatory compliance requirements.Proven ability to handle investigative tasks, audits, and complex payroll-related calculations.Experience with compliance portals (e.g., Proda, Superannuation Portals, Clearing Houses, State Payroll Tax Portals) is essential.Prior Professional Services industry experience preferred.Experience using Workday and SAP is preferred.Strong proficiency in various business systems and applications, particularly in Microsoft Excel, with v-lookups and formulas being highly desirableAbility to work with limited direction and complete required payroll processing / tasks within required deadlines.Considerable attention to detail and comfortable with change management.Who is Aurecon?Aurecons strength has always been our people.
