In addition, the role will play a key role in the Group statutory and financial reporting process by assisting in the preparation of the Group statutory accounts and month end processes.Come along for a new journeyYoull be instrumental in ensuring our Financial Controls team delivers exceptional service. Heres a glimpse of what youll be doing:Preparation of annual statutory accounts in compliance with statutory and legislative requirementsDrafting supporting papers for the Audit CommitteePreparation and lodgment of regulatory reports for RACV Finance, including APRA reporting, in line with the relevant requirements/legal agreements and covenantsPreparation of other compliance reports and returns such as funding facility reportingPreparation of the monthly Group cash flow statement and balance sheet for inclusion in the Group Board reportPreparation of the annual balance sheet and cash flow budgetSolid understanding and application oflease accounting standards (AASB 16)Completion and lodgement of statistical reporting e.g. ABS reportsDevelopment/maintenance of the Group Chart of Accounts and Accounts dictionaryDrive continuous improvement in reporting, accounting and general ledger processesAssisting with the development and review of company policies and proceduresWho were looking for and what youll bringBachelor of Business - major in accounting or similarDetailed knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards, including IFRSExperience working with financial instrumentsKnowledge of general tax legislation and accounting systemsDemonstrated experience in preparing statutory accountsPrevious experience in the role of Financial AccountantApprox. 5 years post graduation experienceHighly developed written and verbal skills including formal presentationsStrong analytical skills and problem solverFinancial modelling and a focus on continuous improvementTheres so much on offer when you join RACV with benefits includingOur flexible and informal work environment which helps bring balance between work and home.Generous discounts on home and car insurance policies and RACV roadside careClub Membership and great discounts across all RACV resortsDiscounts from corporate partners that are updated monthly.At RACV, we believe that maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace is an important element in our continued success.
