This role will work in our CFO Advisory team to provide a range of advice and value to key stakeholders.We offer a great variety of work, autonomy, direct Partner interaction and coaching and opportunity to fast-track your career.This role would ideally suit a professional who has worked in either consulting or advisory and would like to continue their career within this field. Or perhaps your background is more technical accounting and you''re looking to widen the scope of your skillset.This Role Will InvolvePerforming and assisting with technical consultations (including general advice and more advanced tactical accounting consulting) within BDO and for BDO clients in SydneyWorking within the IFRS Advisory team to research, discuss and debate the appropriate conclusion for the application of accounting standardsAssisting with the preparation of accounting advice and IFRS implementation and compliance projects for external clients, including emerging climate-related financial disclosuresAttending and participating in regular meetings of BDO national and international IFRS Advisory team, with the opportunity to present your own viewsAssisting and driving the growth of the team through development of your professional profile and other marketing and business development activities.About YouWe are looking for an experienced Senior Manager who''s worked in a technical accounting or IFRS Advisory team within professional services or a complex accounting/financial services firm.Combined WithProven knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)Demonstrable experience in analysing accounting issuesStrong commercial acumen and exposure to sector/industry specific issuesDemonstrated project management skills on longer term engagementsClear and effective communication skillsPassion and enthusiasm for accounting matters and interest or desire to be exposed to ESG/carbon-related financial disclosure standardsStrong client and stakeholder focusWorked in a team environment where they managed performance for junior members of the teamWhy BDO?Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
