Role Overview As a Claims Service Consultant in our National Liability Claims team, you will support our customers and manage a complex portfolio of legal liability claims efficiently. You will gain technical knowledge and take ownership of your claims portfolio, aiming for the best outcomes for stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage a complex portfolio of claims from Public and Product Liability policies efficiently. Make policy coverage decisions, assess negligence allegations, and negotiate within delegated authority. Maintain high service standards for internal and external customers and build professional relationships. Communicate with stakeholders about claim developments, trends, and potential large losses. Negotiate with solicitors, loss adjusters, and service providers to achieve favorable outcomes. Represent and advocate at Tribunal Hearings, Settlement Conferences, and Mediations under senior guidance. Candidate Profile Tertiary qualifications in law or experience in a legal environment are desirable but not essential. Customer service experience across diverse stakeholders. Effective planning, prioritization, and resource management skills. Team player with a supportive attitude. Excellent communication skills, balancing understanding, empathy, and commercial acumen.
