UNSW IT is part of UNSWs Finance and Operations Division, providing high-quality, sustainable, and innovative IT services. Our focus is on developing architectures that enable UNSWs digital future and supporting the universitys strategic goals. Role Overview The Senior Solution Architect will design, develop, and deliver cost-effective, sustainable integrated solutions aligned with business needs. The role involves providing strategic advice, developing policies, standards, frameworks, and architectural roadmaps, and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions. The role reports to the Lead Solution Architect and does not have direct reports. Key Responsibilities Align solution architecture with reference architecture and standards. Contribute to RFx development and evaluation criteria. Partner with Business Analysts to understand and translate requirements into designs. Develop and maintain architectural methods, standards, and frameworks. Design and implement cybersecurity protocols for projects and operational changes. Create system architectures and detailed component specifications. Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification and at least 6 years of IT experience, including 3 years in Solution Architecture. Proven solution architecture and system design skills. Experience with security, integration, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of industry frameworks like TOGAF. Understanding of procurement practices and integration technologies (iPaaS, API Gateways, REST, JSON). Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
