There are approximately 300 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 350 staff by end of 2025. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.About the roleDroneShield is seeking a QA Software Engineer with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney, Australia. The position will report to the Software Quality Engineering Manager. The role is primarily focused on testing the software features of C2 Systems. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Software Engineer to work on the quality and reliability of our products at all levels of development. You will be responsible for creating and implementing QA strategies and process improvements. Attention to detail, problem solving and a pragmatic, practical approach to technical and process issues is required. Key challenges of the role include delivering test documentation and processes, implementing automated and manual test cases for existing and future products and features, and working with the development team to resolve reliability issues before software releaseResponsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsWork close to the code on the daily basis, thinking as a QA into the whole system.Collaborate with the other QAs on improvements and better ways to handle the activities assigned to the team.Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks within a CI/CD process.Create and maintain test plans for new features and existing features from the systems using Xray.Experience with different frameworks like Selenium, Pytest, Playwright and K6.Identify and resolve testing dependencies, traceability, risks and gaps in test coverage across a complex distributed systemBe comfortable with Linux and Docker environments.Work closely to developers to identify early issues during the feature development whether it come from the Backend or Frontend and test coverage areas to focus on.Be comfortable with Bug reports, test planning, test priorities alongside the teamExperience with Network Protocols and tests, having previous experience withHands on Release Testing - providing "hands-on" assistance during the quarterly release cycle to ensure software release performance and stability.
