Were seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Bankstown facility, to play a key role in developing and enhancing our business capabilities.In this role, you will lead process optimization and digitization projects. If youre a proactive problem solver with a passion for innovation and ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you!Snapshot of the role:Utilise Ignition SCADA and develop code and programming to connect to machine PLCs, develop HMI and data collection for analytic purposes.Work collaboratively with the reliability engineer to add or enhance digital connectivity and data capture of various plant asset health and performance metricsLead cross-functional teams in projects to design, development and implement digitised business processes with a focus on operational efficiency improvements.Provide engineering advice and solutions to engineering problems associated with specialised automation machinery and systems.Build and simplify data pipelines from various sources into the Data Warehouse for analysis and reportingConsistently work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Devise solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues.What we are looking for:Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic EngineeringA minimum of 5 years relevant industry and project experienceExperience in controls engineering, ERP / MES integration, process optimisation or similar.Proficient in Python, SQL, C++ programming languagesExperience in developing code for and programming various PLCsExperience with Ignition SCADA or similar SCADA platform developmentWho we areFor over two decades, we have enabled people to do great things in Aerospace globally.
