We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Harrison Ward, a 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit specialising in general medicine, complex wound care management, endocrinology and chronic pain management. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring our patients receive the best treatment possible in a supportive and collaborative environment.As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide a dedicated team of highly skilled nurses while working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Your leadership will be critical in fostering an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice, professional development, and innovative patient care. Team Leaders with acting NUM experience are encouraged to apply.Youll hold a Postgraduate qualification in Leadership or Management or be working towards it.Youll demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge with a minimum of two years of post-graduate experience, ideally within a Medical/Surgical field, though other backgrounds will be considered.Youll be committed to process improvement and quality care, with a strong understanding of the National Standards.Youll have excellent interpersonal skills, an authentic and respectful communication style, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and senior executives.Youll hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with full Australian working rights.About UsAdventist HealthCare owns and operates San Day Surgery, Hornsby, and the Sydney Adventist Hospital (fondly known as the San).
