Learn more about our teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.Project Overview:Pluto Train 2 involves expanding the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha, Western Australia, operated by Woodside Energy. Woodside is Australia''s leading natural gas producer. Bechtel is proud to collaborate with this key customer to meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.Job Summary:The Craft Supervisor Pipe/Pipe torque and tension including Clamshell is responsible for supervising and directing piping operations. You will ensure construction activities and contractor performance comply with specifications, schedules, and budgets. This FIFO role is based in Karratha, WA, with a 3:1 roster, working day and night shifts as needed.Major Responsibilities:Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision up to 50 craft):Supervise and direct craft activities.Schedule work and review completed work.Planning / Productivity:Determine workforce requirements.Coordinate operational plans.Monitor tool and equipment usage and maintenance.Oversee the preparation of Field Material Requisitions.Safety & Quality:Use the most current design documents and ensure design changes are approved.Ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.Interpret engineering and technical documents with the team.Oversee engineering solutions with Foremen and craft professionals.Education and Experience Requirements:Strong supervisory experience, including managing change.8-10 years experience in a similar heavy industrial role.Experience with flange management, pre-commissioning, oil flushing, air blowing, pigging, and drying is advantageous.Required Knowledge and Skills:Effective communication skills for motivating teams and presenting plans.Experience with torque, tension, clamshell cutting, flange refacing, and knowledge of relevant engineering standards (ASME B31.3, ASME PCC-2, etc.).Safety-focused with a strong understanding of industry standards.Additional Information:This role involves exposure to active construction and operational environments, including walking, climbing, working at heights, confined spaces, and variable shifts. Use of PPE is mandatory. The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility; smoking and tobacco products are prohibited on site.This position is open to local and non-local personnel.
