Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and proactive HSE Advisor. This role is crucial in ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are adhered to across civil construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction and a strong commitment to promoting a safe and compliant work environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide HSE training and support to site personnel, fostering a culture of safety and awareness. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into project planning and execution. Monitor and review risk assessments and safe work method statements (SWMS) to ensure effectiveness and compliance. Qualifications and Skills Minimum Cert IV WHS. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Advisor in the civil construction industry. Strong knowledge of Australian HSE regulations and standards. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
