With a diverse range of investment productsincluding Australian-domiciled managed funds, actively managed ETFs, ASX-listed investment companies, and offshore vehiclesthis is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in a high-performing, values-driven environment.As Senior Legal Counsel, youll support the Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance and partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide pragmatic, commercial legal and compliance advice. Youll play a critical role in supporting product development, regulatory obligations, and governance frameworks while operating at the intersection of business strategy, innovation, and legal risk.This newly created position complements an established and collaborative legal team and offers genuine flexibility to the right candidate.Key Focus Areas:Provide commercially relevant legal advice in compliance to support the existing product suite, new product development initiatives and the domestic and global business generally.Monitor and advise on new legal and regulatory developments impacting business in Australia and globally.Manage legal risk having regard for, amongst other things, best practice corporate governance and operating structures.Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of legal agreements, including IMA''s, distribution agreements, trading documentation (including ISDA Master Agreements), vendor agreements, custody and administration agreements and confidentiality agreements.Draft and review product disclosure statements, constitutions, prospectuses and other fund and investment-related documentation.Review advertisements, pitch books, monthly fact sheets, quarterly reports and other promotional material (including marketing decks).Provide guidance on privacy, modern slavery, and intellectual property matters.Mentor and develop junior team members.Experience and Qualifications:7+ years post-admission legal experience, ideally a mix of top/mid-tier private practice and in-house in asset/funds management.Strong grasp of Australian financial services and regulatory frameworks (ASIC and ideally ASX Listing Rules).Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with practical business outcomes.Outstanding communication skills, with a talent for translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable advice.High integrity, strong business partnering ability and a collaborative, proactive approach.Greenfields is a specialist In-House Legal, Company Secretary and Corporate Governance Executive Search & Recruitment firm.
