There are nine surgical specialties in Australasia being: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.About the roleIn this role your primary focus is to deliver the operational requirements of the contractual agreement with the Federal Government in relation to the Specialist Training Program (STP) and to support the Program Manager through the coordination of a range of STP activities.You will help deliver a major national program that supports medical training in hospitals across Australia. You will keep everything on track for the Specialist Training Program (STP)a government-funded initiative that helps place specialist medical trainees in hospitals.Youll be responsible for managing contracts, tracking funding, writing reports, and helping coordinate the work of different hospitals and organisations involved. Youll work closely with other team members and partners across the health sector. Duties include; Oversee day-to-day operations of the STP agreement with the Department of Health and Aged Care. Work with hospitals across Australia to manage funding agreements, reporting, and payments. Keep records accurate and up to date, and prepare clear, useful reports. Support the Program Manager in running meetings, coordinating activities, and communicating with other teams. Build and maintain working relationships with government staff, hospitals, colleges, and other partners. Write clear updates and articles to share progress with stakeholders. Help monitor budgets and make sure spending is on track.What were looking for: A degree in business, health, or a similar fieldor equivalent experience. Experience managing government-funded projects or contracts. Strong organisation and time management skills. Clear and confident writing and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.This role is full time on a maximum term contract until 31 March 2026.
