This team will deliver care through a culturally responsive, holistic model that recognises the importance of connection to culture, community, and country in the healing journey.We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 1 to join this innovative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a passionate group of professionalsincluding Aboriginal Health Workers, Counsellors, a Social Worker, and an Aboriginal Program Coordinatorto provide person-centred care that is grounded in cultural safety and respect. The successful candidate will work across acute and primary care settings, supporting client engagement, care planning, care coordination, and harm reduction treatment.This Position Is Based In Miller And Will Involve Travel Across The South West Sydney Region, Working On The Lands Of The Dharawal, Darug, And Gundungurra Peoples. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. Approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisationDemonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needsDemonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplaceApplicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver''s license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
