Youll be helping to support the delivery of the Local Development Strategy, through the Shaping Murrindindi''s Future Innovation Working Groups. The Local Development Strategy - Project Support Officer provides support and assistance to the Innovation Working Groups to deliver the outcomes of the Shaping Murrindindis Future Local Development Strategy.In This Role You Willoversee Councils support to deliver the Local Development Strategy outcomesprovide general administrative and secretarial support to the Innovation Working Groups including scheduling appointments and booking venuesprovide research and analysis on a range of subject matter that support the delivery of the Local Development Strategyprovide advice and strategic direction to the Innovation Working Groups on the delivery of the Local Development Strategyprepare reports on the delivery of the Local Development Strategy for relevant authorities including DEECA (Department Energy Environment Action) and Councilprepare and reports on the outcomes for various grant funds related to this role including Community Development Fundassist the Innovation Working Groups in the preparation of grant funding applications and identify other funding sources as required.What You Will BringExperience in delivering strategic projects with complex community engagement requirements.Demonstrable Project Management experience with the application of a proven project management methodology preferred.Experience delivering regional or rural economic development projects or activities.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain both internal and external relationships for the benefit of the community.Strong presentation skills including written, visual and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of the Murrindindi region, its business and industries is highly desirable.Tertiary qualifications related to economic or community development are preferred.What We OfferMurrindindi Shire is situated on Melbourne''s peri-urban fringe and encompasses the charming rural townships of Alexandra, Eildon, Kinglake, Marysville and Yea.
