Surgical Services comprises 17 surgical units, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, operating suites, two planned surgical inpatient wards, a medical day unit, day surgery admissions, and endoscopy services. The PSC oversees the Planned Surgery Preparation List, Medical Planned Waiting List, and Pre-Admission Clinic across both The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital. The Surgical Specialist Clinics deliver non-admitted services supporting clinical care across all surgical units. Services are delivered by medical, nursing, and allied health professionals at The Alfred, Sandringham, and Caulfield campuses, including via telehealth. About the Role The Workforce and Development Lead is a key member of the Surgical Services leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Nurse Managers of the PSC and Surgical Specialist Clinics to promote excellence in clinical practice, lead workforce development initiatives, and support multidisciplinary coordination of care. You will serve as a key resource across the PSC and Surgical Specialist Clinics, supporting staff to achieve best practice and optimal patient outcomes. About you * Current Registered Nurse Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA. * Extensive relevant clinical experience in acute care nursing and in a clinical leadership role. * Holding or working toward a tertiary qualification. * Experience & knowledge in relevant Department of Health Policies for Planned Surgery & Non-admitted patients * Previous experience in Planned surgery and/or Surgical Specialist Clinics.
