The roleWe are seeking astrategically minded and action orientated State Manager Health and Safety to lead the development and implementation of strategic WHS projects aligned with Adbris Health and Safety Strategy. This leadership role manages a team of safety professionals and supports the delivery of key safety initiatives across business operations.This newly defined role reports directly to the Executive General Manager of Health & Safety. Youll work side by side with other operations and group functional leaders & teams to support positive health & safety cultural and business transformation.This is not a siloed corporate role. Youll be working across every layer of the businesspartnering with site teams, project leads, and senior management to drive Health and safety improvements in a Caring and collaborative culture.ResponsibilitiesPartner with operations to deliver health and safety services and achieve WHS goals.Lead critical risk verification audits and ensure compliance with safety standards.Develop and monitor WHS management plans; provide training and support.Promote a strong safety culture through the Work Safe, Home Safe approach.Provide safety leadership and coach teams on incident management and response.Lead investigations and reporting of incidents, ensuring proper documentation.Conduct internal safety audits and support external audit participation.Oversee WHS training programs and review their effectiveness.Translating field-level insights into practical health & safety risk improvementsCoaching and developing your health & safety professionalsWhat you will need to succeedRecognised occupational health and safety degree / course.Health and Safety Auditor training course.Qualifications in incident investigation e.g. ICAM5 years in a similar industry of H&S experience5 years managing a teamBenefits of working with usInclusive and values led cultureFlexible work environmentCareer Development OpportunitiesOur businessAdbri Limited is a constructions materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company that has been building a better Australia since 1882.
