We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.Legal Aid NSW also manages service agreements with non-government organisations to deliver legal and non-legal services across NSW.About The RoleWorking within a welcoming and passionate team, the role provides support to the Senior Project Officer (Policy) and Manager, WDVCAP* Unit, in relation to domestic and family violence policy development, managing service agreements with WDVCAS** providers and other WDVCAS professional support matters.Women''s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy ProgramWomens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy ServicesAbout the Womens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Program (WDVCAP)The Women''s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Program (WDVCAP) Unit administers NSW Government funding to 27 Women''s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Services (WDVCASs) across the state. WDVCASs are locally-based, non-government services who assist women experiencing domestic and family violence.The WDVCAP Unit monitors WDVCASs to ensure they meet their service agreement obligations. We also provide policy advice and practice support, such as mentoring and training to WDVCAS staff.The WDVCAP Unit Works In Partnership WithNSW PoliceNSW Local CourtDepartment of Communities and Justice (DCJ)Other stakeholders including housing and health services.About YouThe successful candidate will possess exceptional writing abilities, knowledge of the domestic violence sector, and strong program management skills. Frontline experience is advantageous.
