This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service across the City of Hobarts financial operations.You will play a key role in managing payments, credit, and debt collection processes while fostering a positive and proactive team culture. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team within a values-driven organisation.Key responsibilities of the role;Lead and manage the finance team, providing direction, support, and professional development.The daily operations of accounts payable and receivable, ensure accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional customer service.A team of four finance officers provides supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.The Citys payment processes, credit management, and debt collection in line with Council policy.The development and implementation of accounting procedures and internal controls to support continuous improvement and mitigate financial risks.The reconciliation and approval of general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and receivable.The proactive use of financial systems and data to support operational excellence and informed decision-making.Learn more about the role in the position description Senior Finance Officer PDAbout YouAre you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for leadership and a knack for strategic financial management?
