You will guide and support business leaders in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk, and ensuring alignment with our enterprise-wide framework. You will also lead the management and implementation of our risk management system, undertake and support audits and assurance activities, and help foster a culture of proactive risk awareness and continuous improvement. This is a strategic role where your influence will shape the way risk is understood and managed across the organisation.You will:Lead the implementation of the Risk and Opportunity Management Framework across the organisation, ensuring effective risk mitigation at both operational and project levels.Support functional and project teams by promoting and embedding risk management practices, managing risks through the ERM tool, and continuously updating risk action plans for effective mitigation.Deliver insights and advise management on emerging risks, treatment options and strategies, and develop risk reporting protocols, key risk indicators, and evaluation criteria.Shape approaches and tools that focus on risk control effectiveness, collaborating with audit providers and business teams to ensure compliance with audit recommendations.Develop and deliver training and communication plans to promote risk awareness and use of the ERM tool, fostering a positive risk culture.Create effective and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and the broader risk community and promote a culture of risk awareness, alignment, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Contribute to audit and quality assurance efforts for ISO 9001 certification and undertake additional duties as required within the scope of the roleCandidate''s ProfileIf you have worked in a similar position or just looking for your next opportunity that will make an impact, we want to speak with you.Your background will demonstrate:Experience overseeing and implementing risk management, policy, and assurance frameworksStrong leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation including key partners, vendors, and advisers.A sound understand of legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, in particular ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, or be able to demonstrate a capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge.Demonstrated experience in critical analysis, data interpretation and conceptual skills with the ability to translate complex information into logical, concise, evidence-based reports and briefs.Demonstrated ability to re-prioritise, refocus, and redirect efforts in response to the organisations evolving needs.Understanding and knowledge of the government sector, trends and challenges are highly desirable.To apply for this position, you must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to maintain an Australian AGSVA security clearance.How to applyIf eligible, please submit your resume; applications are open to all qualified Australian citizens regardless of their background, identity, experiences and beliefs.If you need assistance during our recruitment process, please email our friendly TA team at for a confidential conversation.To apply for this position, please submit your application online through our designated platform.
