A clear in-house career path for youAbout the company/roleExciting opportunity for a sharp corporate/commercial lawyer to join a leading international listed FinTech in their high achieving in-house legal team. This exciting in-house role will put you at the centre of high-impact transactional and project work across multiple jurisdictions.Broaden out your skillset to become a strong in-house generalist.This is a varied generalist giving you great exposure and, where you will be responsible for a wide range of legal areas including but not limited to:-Lead a wide range of contract reviews and negotiations, applying your sharp legal insight.Offer expert legal guidance on regulatory matters, including financial services, tech contracts, and privacy law.Covering the Corporations Act, ASIC regulations, privacy laws.Product launches, M&A, IP, licensing, and marketing, taking ownership of large projects, (some akin to M&A).Help manage legal disclosures and key documentation across APAC.Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, HR, Marketing, and Disputes to deliver legal solutions that support business success.Share knowledge and coordinate with legal teams across the globe to ensure smooth execution of projects and transactions, be involved in global legal team meetings.Shape and refine policies and procedures with your legal input, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.This is your chance to work in a fast-paced and nimble environment where your legal skills will directly support strategic business outcomes across the APAC region. They have a high level in-house legal team, and will offer you mentor career development teamed with a competitive $ + bonus for your efforts.Skills & experienceAs the successful candidate you will have circa 3-6 years PQE in corporate/commercial law, which may be gained from a leading firm or in-house team. Whilst not a pre-requisite, experience with the Privacy Act, Corporations Act, licensee obligations, the Spam Act, and Australian Consumer Law will be highly regarded and valued in this role.
