We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join our expanding team in Perth. This position will play a crucial role in enhancing our portfolios within the Metals and Minerals EPCM sector, particularly on a key minerals project in SW Africa. About the role Lead a team of procurement professionals responsible for negotiating the best value for Ausenco, performing strategic analysis, and supporting the project execution plan. Manage the procurement of machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with schedules, tender lists, package lists, and live project data while adhering to procurement procedures. Support project initiatives by aligning with Engineering, Construction, and Cost Control teams, providing guidance in supplier evaluation, selection, management of purchasing and subcontract agreements, analytics, and pricing reviews. Delegate responsibilities and assignments to team members appropriately. Lead resource forecasting and allocation of procurement resources. Contribute to ongoing system development and improvement to mature procurement tools. Maintain a balance between client and team focus, bringing enthusiasm and innovation for continuous improvement. About you Tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Business or a technical field. Extensive experience in procurement and contracting within an EPC and EPCM environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, including negotiation and relationship-building. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proven experience with Hexagon ERP system - SmartPlant Materials. Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Experience in the mining and minerals sector is highly regarded. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with adaptability to change. Ability to lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors, coordinating with Finance, Legal, and Tax teams.
