An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a well-established, high-performing Legal team playing a pivotal role in shaping innovative funding and investment strategies that support essential real estate infrastructure development. This organisation is at the forefront of delivering long-term projects that enhance social and economic outcomes, working collaboratively with private sector partners, community organisations, and government stakeholders.With substantial funding, this role is ideal for a Lawyer with over 7 years of post-qualification experience, particularly those with expertise in project finance, real estate transactions and investments, or banking and finance.The position offers the chance to contribute significantly to a well-resourced specialist entity dedicated to impactful, large-scale investment projects that drive sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities:Providing strategic legal advice by identifying key risks, challenges, and opportunities in funding transactions.Ensuring compliance and governance by advising on legal obligations and powers under applicable laws.Drafting, negotiating, and finalising complex loan agreements, while overseeing seamless closing arrangements.Managing loan execution processes, including fulfilling conditions precedent and ensuring smooth transactions.Collaborating with external legal counsel, providing clear instructions, and maintaining strong relationships.Supporting the Portfolio Management team post-loan drawdown, ensuring continued legal and operational oversight.Contributing to debt capital markets transactions, offering legal expertise in structuring and execution.The Ideal Candidate:8 years + Post Qualified Experience and a NSW practicing certificate.Top-tier/ mid-tier law firm experience, ideally in project finance, property finance, construction, project finance or property asset finance.Experience gained within a financial institution is also highly regarded.Ability to work across a variety of areas providing timely legal and commercial advice to senior stakeholders within the business.Please send your resume in confidence to Catherine Wolfe-Coote, Managing Director at catherinew@greenfieldssearch.com.au.Greenfields will only accept documents in MS Word or PDF format.
