The procurement team is led by an exceptional Chief Procurement Officer and operates within a highly collaborative, strategic environment.As the City embarks on a major transformation program, Cozens Mabel has been engaged to recruit several key procurement roles that will play a critical part in driving this change.1. Procurement Business Partner IT & HRCentralised role supporting the Citys HR, IT, and Strategy divisionsTotal package: up to approx. $187K2. Procurement Business Partner Chief Operations OfficeManages procurement for construction projects, city access and transport, urban design, and architectural teamsTotal package: up to approx. $187KAspects of the role include:Partnering with relevant divisions to provide procurement advice and support including strategy and planning, sourcing, negotiations, contract management and supplier relationship management.Provide procurement information, analysis and reports to inform commercial decisions and planning, identify opportunities for improvements, enhance value and efficiency, and provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations, analytic tools and best practice options.Lead a range of complex end to end procurement projects, including the development of relevant approach-to-market, sourcing and contracting strategies, processes and documentation that are fit-for-purpose.Lead, manage, coach and develop the team to ensure the delivery of high-standards of procurement services and expert advice to the organisation.Manage and plan the program of procurement work, including leading and coordinating cross-functional teams and specialists to meet strategic, operational and commercial objectives and timelines.Your background:Understanding of the social challenges and opportunities facing cities and communities to inform social and strategic planning outcomes.Strong technical knowledge of procurement.Excellent collaboration, communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy in the delivery of business partnering services and the development of procurement strategy.You will be resilient, adapt well to change and be able to manage ongoing challenges effectively in a complex operating environment.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or relevant professional accreditation or certification, such as MCIPS, or at least 5 years in equivalent experience.What''s on offer:Beyond meaningful and impactful work, the City of Sydney offers outstanding employee benefits, including:19-day month one RDO per month (12 extra days off annually)3 additional leave days for culture and wellbeingTypically, 3 extra leave days are granted by the CEO over the Christmas and New Year periodCompetitive salary of up to $187,000 including super, from the 1st of July 2025.Annual CPI salary reviewGenerous parental leave 26 weeks paid parental leave, 6 weeks paid partner leave, and up to 52 weeks of superannuation paid during leave.To apply now or for more information, please contact Ilsa Cozens on 0403 330 649 or ilsa@cozensmabel.com.
