DescriptionWe currently have an opportunity for a Land, Environment & Training Area Subject Matter Expert. Join our Base and Estate Management team and play a key role in providing advice and expertise in the delivery of the Land Management and Capability services of the contract, as well as assisting the re-bid team. Reporting to the Northern Region Operations Manager, you''ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.What Youll DoThis role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:Network across broader business units, including Corporate support functions, to drive best practice and continuous improvement.Build collaborative relationships with internal teams, EMOS managers, Defence representatives, and corporate stakeholders to support contract outcomes.Support contract delivery through proactive participation in quality management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide expert advice on environmental and land management strategies to service teams and contribute to future contract planning and rebid support.What Youll BringTertiary qualification in Land Management/Environmental Science/Horticulture.Business Management tertiary qualification (desirable)Strong experience in hands-on conservation/grounds maintenance and land management.Understanding of Quality Control inspection and auditing techniques.Drivers Licence and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.More than anything, youll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
