The General Manager will be a key contributor to the strategic direction of Residential Aged Care. You will collaborate with the RAC Leadership Team, Executive Leadership, and Board stakeholders to drive high performance, financial sustainability, and continuous improvement.This is a role for a commercial leader with substantial expertise in managing a high performing and successful business in an Aged Care or complex, highly regulated, healthcare environment. You will work with a team of accountable staff, driving a high-performance culture to deliver on our RAC teams strategic financial objectives while being consistent with, and aligned to our model of care.You will be responsible for delivering strategies to enhance revenue, reduce costs, improve rostering efficiency, manage occupancy, and support workforce optimisation. Your analytical expertise and commitment to innovation will support our mission of delivering high-quality, person-centred care aligned.Key Role Accountabilities:Actively contribute to the planning and strategic direction of WMQ through participation in the RAC Leadership team, Senior Leadership team and with stakeholders at the Executive and Board level.Develop positive working relationships with other members of the RAC leadership team, Executive Leadership Team as well as frontline and support staff.Demonstrate accountability to the Director of Ageing Well and the CEO through the provision of relevant, accurate and timely information and also through meeting negotiated expectations and outcomes.Proactively providing the RAC Leadership Team with value-adding improvements and observations to increase revenue or reduce cost, including analysis and reporting related to maximisation of AN-ACC, rostering efficiency, occupancy management, staff utilisation and structure.Participate in, drive, and maintain a culture in the RAC leadership team of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement that encourages individuals to identify opportunities and solutions to improve service delivery, achieve financial outcomes and meet deadlines.Analyse and refine our aged care financial model where necessary, while maintaining our commitment to high quality care, in line with the Eden philosophy and agreed operating model of care.Ensure robust systems are in place and operating effectively to identify and support business objectives.Continually look at opportunities to advance the position of WMQs business through innovative initiatives in alignment with legislative requirements.Providing strong business, financial operational leadership, and management across our 13 ResidentialActively leading and contributing to the strategic planning, implementation, enhancement, and achievement of the Residential Aged Care Business Plan.About YouRelevant tertiary qualifications in a management or health-related discipline (post graduate qualifications in management are highly desirable).Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve a strong financial outcome whiledelivering on our customer focus.A strong commitment and understanding of the values of WMQ and the social justice imperatives as they affect the activity of the organisation and its customers.An entrepreneurial focus with an ability to identify and influence funding authorities and peak bodies.At least 5 years experience in a senior related role in a substantial organisation managing a complex portfolio in a diverse multi-site organisation.A strong understanding of the operating environment and topical issuesas they relate to an aged care setting.Proven record of exceeding financial targets, and successfully implementing new initiativesDemonstrated leadership and people management skills coupled with high-level communication skills(written and verbal).Superior interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.A track record coordinating and managing multiple projects, in a multi-disciplinary team within a customer service setting.What makes a difference for us:Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Limited Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.Current Drivers Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.Why Join UsWe value diversity, strive for inclusion, and come togetherto walk alongside those in need to provide hope and compassion.
