The scope, complexity, and strategic importance of the work offer rare professional exposure for those ready to make their mark in the infrastructure space.The RoleIn this role, you will report directly to the Commercial Director, supporting the project delivery team with legal and commercial matters. You will work closely with project managers, contract administrators, and external stakeholders to help navigate complex contractual frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Providing strategic legal and commercial advice on both upstream and downstream contractsOffering high-quality support and contractual leadership across a diverse and technically complex project environmentLiaising with internal and external stakeholders to advise on material issues and facilitate external legal input where requiredReviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of project-related agreements, including subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and supplier termsAssisting the project team in managing legal and commercial risk while maintaining alignment with the projects delivery objectives and commercial strategyThe CandidateThe successful candidate will be a talented construction lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PAE. You will have relevant construction experience at a well regarded law firm or similar in-house role. In addition, you will have:Experience in drafting and negotiating both upstream and downstream contractsAn ability to understand the bigger picture and to prioritise multiple tasks arising across multiple business linesQuality training (either in private practice or in-house)An ability to provide pragmatic and timely legal advice within a complex commercial and operational settingClear and persuasive written and spoken communication skillsNegotiation and drafting skillsFamiliarity with the building, infrastructure, and engineering landscape in Australia.To applyTo be considered for this opportunity please apply using the link.Alternatively, for a confidential discussion please call Nathan Aron, Manager on 0419 511 439 for a confidential discussion.
