Iress is one of Australias largest technology companies and employs more than 2,000 people across Australia, The United Kingdom, Africa, Canada, France, New Zealand and Asia.Build your career at Iress!This newly-created Line 1 risk role will work closely with the General Manager, Risk and Compliance and in partnership with the Global Trading and Market Data (GTMD) Leadership Team to provide high-quality business risk and compliance expertise, support and leadership.In particular, you will lead the implementation of Iress Risk Management Framework and strategy at the Functional level, including acting as SME in relation to issue identification, incident management and assessment, controls, current and emerging risks and compliance obligations. This includes supporting the business to design and implement effective controls and day-to-day risk practices, to enable better business outcomes.This role will oversee with the GM Risk & Compliance all operational, financial, strategic, reputational, and regulatory risks, aligning required risk management activities and processes with GTMDs objectives.An experienced Line 1 risk professional with an emphasis on driving best practice risk management capability, you will promote a strong risk culture within the GTMD teams to help the business to achieve its strategic objectives. In doing so, you will enjoy partnering with stakeholders and bringing a pragmatic approach to developing a risk-first culture and awareness in day-to-day business decision-making.Some of the awesome things youll be involved with:Oversee the development and operation of risk management processes and frameworksIdentifying, reporting and managing risks (as GTMD SME)Monitor regulatory developments globally; ensure GTMD meets all relevant risk-related regulatory requirementsLiaising with Iress Line 2 (Group Risk) function to ensure compliance with Group-wide frameworks and policiesDriving business unit uplift and implementation of key programs, including in relation to regulatory change, business continuity and resilience, information and records management, information security, and cyber risk managementRole-modeling best practice risk management culture and capabilityPromote a strong risk culture and risk ownership at all levels of the organization through training, communication, and engagement initiativesWhat You Will BringPrior experience in a senior Line 1 risk / controls role, ideally within banking or financial services, or within a professional services advisory capacity, coupled with strong technical knowledge of risk frameworks and terminologyProven ability in standing up business unit risk management processes (e.g. designing and embedding governance, reporting and monitoring mechanisms, controls design and implementation, issue and incident management) and uplifting overall business-unit risk capability via training, guidance and leadership on risk / compliance managementPrevious success in delivering transformation / continuous improvement risk and compliance initiativesStrategic thinking with the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging risksStrong leadership and influence skills, including cross-functional and global collaborationTeam player, with strong collaboration, and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhy work with us?8 additional paid days per year to extend your weekendsHybrid workingGenerous cash bonus for every successful referralStarting school leave - 8.5 days of leave to assist your children with the transition to schoolUp to 26 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers (up to 4 weeks for secondary carers), and the ability to work part-time when returning to work3 days paid leave per year to participate in charity initiativesDiscounted health insurance premiumsAccess to learning and development programs through LinkedInIress is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture.
