You will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all activities align with Norton Gold Fields operational excellence, safety, and environmental standards.KEY DUTIESLeadership & Operations:Oversee all mining operations and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.Deliver physical, operational cost, and capital budgets to maximise operational and project value.Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to optimise production plans and adjust to market dynamics.Monitor and ensure statutory compliance across all sites.Identify and address non-conformances, initiating corrective actions where neededPerformance & Risk Management:Identify, evaluate, and manage operational risks.Drive continuous improvement and financial responsibility through robust cost management processes.Meet and exceed operational KPIs by delivering measurable improvements.Budget & Financial Accountability:Monitor and manage costs effectively across all mining activities.Ensure contractors deliver maximum value and accountability to the business.Culture & Workforce Engagement:Support mine management teams to achieve production and safety targets.Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure clear communication of targets and strategies to the workforce.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Mining.Site Senior Executive certificateUnrestricted Quarry Manager or First Class Manager (Desirable)SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE10 to 15 years in a Senior Executive management roleProficiency in managing relationships and building networks.A minimum of 5 years experience in relevant mining production.Significant technical knowledge of minerals processing and miningSuccessful track record in leading the management of complex minerals processing and mining operations including managing multiple sites simultaneouslyMining development and production technology.Experienced in the generation of technical requirements and specifications.Accustomed to operating within project structure with responsibility for project delivery.Accustomed to working on multipleSelf-motivated and able to work with limited direct supervision.Good understanding of the Mines Safety Act and Regulation;Good understanding of all relevant State and Federal legislation relevant to Mining Operations in Western Australia;Good understanding of applicable Health and Safety standards and codes of practice;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with stakeholders and report writing;Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of issues.Above average competency with demonstrated skills in spread sheet and presentation applications, word processing and database applications;Competent with use of PRONTO (desirable)BENEFITSPermanent full-time role with an immediate start.Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances.Receive an average 60% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.Fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or an allowance of $4.8k.Fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance.Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.Opportunities for learning and development through various training programs provided by the company.Work in a team with a growth mindset, ensuring you can bring out your best.Apply now and Join us in shaping the future of gold mining in the Kalgoorlie region!This can be your new beginning at a company that values its people and celebrates Diversity and Inclusion.Norton is recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Australian Governments Workplace Gender Equality Agency.
