Local swimming holes and the natural beauty of the outback enhance the experience of life in this remarkable place.In addition to the duties and responsibilities of the Principal, the community seeks a principal who:Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with the local community, including parents and advisory councils, and actively involve them in school activities.Demonstrated willingness to actively engage in all aspects of school life, including hands-on tasks and responsibilities, to support the school community effectively.Actively bears witness to leading the Catholic identity of the schools vision and mission and its connection to First Nations spirituality, ensuring the effective delivery of Religious Education and fostering the celebration of faith, life and culture.Proven ability to efficiently organise tasks, adapt to evolving environments, and effectively manage unexpected challenges.Strong commitment to incorporating local First Nations language classes and promoting cultural and on-country experiences.Committed to delivering a holistic education through high quality teaching and learning that emphasises literacy and numeracy, while also incorporating on-country learning experiences to ensure students remain deeply connected to their cultural roots.Engages actively in team collaboration, contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment.A commitment to developing transition programs to help students adjust to boarding school environments, and the ability to support students and families in preparing for this transition.Experience in developing and implementing strategies to improve student attendance, with the ability to collaborate with parents and the community to support regular school attendance.Commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of both students and staff.Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.Experience in working in remote communities in the Kimberley is highly desirable.Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.Minimum four (4) year tertiary qualification (progress towards a master''s or higher is advantageous).Current Teachers Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).Competitive remuneration based on school size and enrolment numbers.Additional 2.5% superannuation above guarantee.Vehicle available for personal use with co-contribution.Additional leave for wellbeing and Catholic Day.Access to high quality professional learning and development.Discounted rates on corporate health insurance and wellbeing initiatives.Applicants will need to produce an application which includes a cover letter addressed to the Executive Director, a curriculum vitae, contact information for professional referees and your Parish Priest, and a leadership SAO.
