Join Our Team as the Head of College Services This pivotal role is dedicated to crafting an exceptional student journey at the University of Newcastle College of International Education, operated by Kaplan Higher Education. You will be the primary contact for all non-academic matters, from enrollment to student support and progression, orchestrating key events and ensuring students receive outstanding pastoral care. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential to create the ultimate student experience. Accuracy, timely communication, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are key to success in this role. Responsibilities Lead the Student Experience at the College, fostering a supportive and engaged community among staff and students. Provide excellent customer service, guidance, and support regarding programs and services, responding professionally to inquiries. Coordinate and deliver major functions and events, including orientation and graduation, to enhance student engagement. Organize student social events, including Newcastle Experience Week, and deliver presentations. Respond promptly and accurately to student inquiries via email, phone, or in person. Guide students on study progress, attendance, welfare, and transitional arrangements for new students. Collaborate with Academic Staff, Learning and Teaching Director, and College Director on academic performance matters. Identify students needing additional support and intervene accordingly, working closely with relevant staff. Assist with Under 18 student management in collaboration with the University and College Director. Liaise with the admissions team regarding enrollment processes. Promote teamwork and positive communication to foster a high-performing, student-centric culture. Requirements Bachelors degree (essential). 1-2 years of experience in a student services role working with international students (essential). Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures for international students (essential). Passion for Newcastle, college growth, and student success. Advanced knowledge of University of Newcastle programs and campuses. Excellent communication skills across various stakeholders. Knowledge of ESOS Code of Practice. Experience in event management, including planning and hosting events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quick learner of new systems. Professional, accurate, detail-oriented, flexible, and proactive attitude.
