We are recruiting for Mining Operators across Excavator, Dozer and Ancillary crews at GEMCO. These roles will see you safely execute operations activities through operating equipment in accordance with GEMCO standards and operating procedures.Other key responsibilities include, but arent limited to:Execute the production mining and/or development activities according to the production planEffective communication of equipment status to pit controlAdhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practicesEnsure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazardsPromote safety and improvement culture through effective leadershipABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in:Experience working in mining operationsExperience operating one of the following machines in a Mining Production environment:CAT D11 Dozers in bulk push operations; or260T ExcavatorsExperience operating the following equipment conducting Mining Ancillary tasks:CAT D10 Dozers30-120T ExcavatorsMoxy articulated ejector haul trucksChampion a safety focused culture, conducting risk -assessments and following change management proceduresAble to relocate yourself to Darwin or Cairns if successfulQualifications for this position are:Current C Class driver license (manual)South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
