We seek a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include:Coordinating and undertaking proactive and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the villageImplementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety at all timesAddressing maintenance requests promptly and efficiently with great customer service and a genuine interest in assisting and working with the elderlyMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities using our programAssisting with various ad hoc duties as requiredTransporting residents for outings and shopping trips in the village busThe ShiftsPermanent Part-time4 or 5 days per week (30 hours in total)Some flexibility with preferred days/timesAbout YouDemonstrated experience in residential maintenance or as a handypersonOrganized and able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasksExcellent customer service skills with a genuine interest in assisting and working with the elderlyAbility to supervise and liaise with tradespeopleA current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)Basic computer skillsProactive and able to take initiativeNatural problem solver with safety as a priorityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits include:Extra wellbeing days offDiscounted gym membership Fitness PassportOn-site parking and no travel required during workUniform and tools providedTraining and support from a friendly teamCareer development opportunitiesEmployer referral programAnnual vaccinations and skin checksHealth & Wellbeing and Reward ProgramRelevant internal training and inductions will be provided on-site to the successful candidate.Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check and will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between April and October, with proof provided prior to joining.
