Thiess is on the lookout for a skilled and safety-focused Tyre Fitter to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at the QCoal Northern Hub an open-cut coal mining project just 10 minutes south of Collinsville in the Bowen Basin.Reporting to the Tyre Supervisor, youll be a key player in keeping our fleet moving, working hands-on with some of the biggest equipment in mining.Your day-to-day will include:Removing and fitting rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipmentRefitting and maintaining tyres to the highest safety standardsPerforming regular tyre pressure checks, adjustments, and reportsUsing technical manuals, bulletins, and computer-based systems to guide your workProactively identifying issues before they become problemsFollowing all site procedures to ensure safety and complianceAbout YouWere looking for someone who brings experience, precision, and a passion for getting the job done right.To be successful, youll have:A minimum of 2 years experience as a tyre fitter (mining or heavy earthmoving preferred)Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012A HR drivers licence (preferred but not essential)Solid post-trade experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industriesA proactive, safety-first attitude and strong teamwork skillsWhat Thiess Can Offer YouAt Thiess, we know that great people deserve great rewards.
