About the Role Uniting Counselling & Mediation (UCM) Gosford is seeking a Counselling Coordinator to provide clinical leadership, guidance, and therapy across our community-based counselling services. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday (35 hours/week), with essential evening availability on Tuesdays (12pm8pm) and one day per week working from our Wyong office. This senior position offers a blend of clinical practice, team supervision, and leadership responsibilities. Youll play a key role in supporting complex decision-makingparticularly in areas like domestic and family violence, trauma, and post-separation work. About you in the role Provide scheduled and ad-hoc clinical supervision as well as group supervision, to a small team of counsellors and therapists. Deliver 15 face-to-face counselling sessions weekly to individuals, children, and couples. Support clients navigating family separation, family law matters, and complex systems (e.g., DCJ, mental health, Family Court). Conduct child consultations within child-inclusive practice frameworks. Offer mentorship and operational support to new and existing team members. Collaborate in SOS (Supervision of Supervision) meetings, training, and clinical reflection spaces. Step up as acting manager during periods of leave. About you A postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Extensive experience in counselling, with a strong background in trauma and domestic/family violence. Previous leadership experience whether through formal team leadership, clinical supervision, or acting-up in a senior role. Eligibility to provide clinical supervision. A warm, humble, and collaborative approach youre someone who lifts others and builds trust in the team. Experience navigating and collaborating across multiple systems (e.g., legal, health, child protection). Even Better Experience in couples therapy, post-separation counselling, or family dispute resolution. Experience working with fathers and men navigating parenting or separation.
