Featuring a popular rooftop space, we are known for our vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and diverse food and beverage offerings. As we continue to expand our presence, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Venue Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue.Position SummaryThe Venue Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the venue. This includes driving team culture, ensuring financial performance, maintaining compliance, and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with strong hospitality experience, excellent organisational skills, and a hands-on approach.Key ResponsibilitiesFoster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.Provide strong on-the-ground leadership while working autonomously to drive venue performance.Identify and resolve operational challenges efficiently and proactively.Monitor and manage key financial areas including budgeting, wage control, and cost of goods sold (COGS).Develop and implement training programs to upskill staff in service, safety, and product knowledge.Create and manage staff rosters to align with service demands and control labour costs.Conduct monthly stocktakes and oversee stock control procedures.Respond professionally to customer and stakeholder email correspondence.Implement and monitor cost-saving strategies to improve efficiency without compromising quality.Conduct regular team meetings to ensure clear communication and operational alignment.Skills & QualificationsMinimum 2-5 years experience in a venue management or similar leadership role within hospitality.Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.Strong financial literacy, with experience interpreting and acting on key business metrics.Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.Experience developing and delivering staff training programs.Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.Outstanding communication skills written and verbal.Familiarity with the Greensborough or Melbourne northern suburbs hospitality scene is advantageous.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your resume along with a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are the right fit for Jaga Jaga Bar.Be careful - Dont provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
