We''re committed to delivering products that are truly fresh, from the moment they''re made to the moment they arrive on the dish.Job DescriptionMelco Foods Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Research & Development / New Product Development (R&D / NPD) Food Technologist to join our team in Sydney, Australia.As a R&D/NPD Food Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing our commitment to quality and excellence. You will be tasked with receiving briefs from current or potential customers and delivering projects which meet or exceed expectations. You will be working with a well-experienced team that can assist in bringing new exciting opportunities and products into the market.Key ResponsibilitiesProject management of the end-to-end NPD process with agreed timelines.Communicating the progress and update of projects to the direct managers.Conducting benchtop trials of samples for NPD or R&D projects.Preparing samples of existing products to customers.Building key relations with internal and external stakeholders.Working with QA with finalizing specifications and processes for commercial launch.Monitoring production during scale up and eventual commercial launch.Qualification RequirementsEssentialAustralian Local Experiences Required.Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Technology.Prior experience in Food Manufacturing is preferred, but not necessary.Strong administration skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong time management skills and attention to details.Strong relationship skills with the ability to build rapport across different internal departments and external stakeholders.Holds a valid Australian Full Drivers License.At Melco Foods Pty Ltd, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
