About the roleThe Recruitment Advisor is a pivotal member of the People and Culture team, responsible for delivering seamless recruitment and onboarding support across TAFE Gippsland. This role manages the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from job advertising to onboarding, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation and best practice. As a trusted advisor, the role provides specialist guidance and administrative support to hiring managers, coordinates and participates on interview panels, and facilitates candidate screening and selection processes. The Recruitment Advisor oversees the onboarding experience, managing documentation and pre-employment checks, and contributing to induction activities to support the integration of new starters. This role also supports employee lifecycle processes such as contract variations, providing guidance on general employment matters and offboarding, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring legislative compliance. The role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and promotes inclusive recruitment practices aligned with organisational values. Working collaboratively with the People and Culture team, the Recruitment Advisor demonstrates professionalism and delivers high quality service across all People and Culture initiatives.About youYou are an experienced HR or recruitment professional with relevant qualifications or significant hands-on expertise. You bring a strong working knowledge of HRIS, payroll or recruitment systems, and are confident in providing high quality, professional advice across various levels and functions. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Your approach is informed by a solid understanding of employment law, anti-discrimination legislation and best practice. You are highly organised and skilled in managing competing priorities with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency. You demonstrate strong initiative and integrity, with a commitment to fairness, objectivity and transparency.
