Our core values of courage, trust, integrity, and ownership guide our growth, and this is where great people like you come in!The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to help assist our business from our Bairnsdale site on a 9-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;Accurately process weekly and monthly payrolls in accordance with company deadlines and procedures.Validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.Calculate and process employee entitlements, including overtime, leave, and termination payments.Input and update employee information, including onboarding and offboarding details.Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws, superannuation regulations, and other legislative requirements.Prepare and submit PAYG, Superannuation, and STP (Single Touch Payroll) reports to relevant authorities.Assist in internal and external audits by providing required payroll data.Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.The PersonTo be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in Payroll, ideally working in a business that is of a similar size as well as the following.2-3 years+ Payroll experience.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.A desire and willingness to learn, with strong problem-solving skillsProficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation and superannuation.High level of attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent organisational skills.What we offer youAt Patties Food Group we are passionate about our people, brands and culture!
