We are seeking passionate, values-driven social work academics to join Sydney Met with values consistent with the Sydney Met ethos and a demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and learning as we roll out the Master of Social Work (Qualifying), the Graduate Diploma of Human and Community Services, and the Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services. Our courses and the existing Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) are experiencing rapid growth. As the Department of Social Work and Development at Sydney Met expands, we seek suitably qualified academics to join a committed team and make a difference in the social work profession through transformative education.The Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers in Social Work contribute to teaching, learning, scholarships, and practice-based social work education to diverse cohorts of students. The positions report to the Head of the Department of Social Work and Development and will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving high-quality, student-centred teaching and assessments for the Bachelor of Social Work and for developing units for the anticipated Master of Social Work (Qualifying) to achieve positive student outcomes and student experience. The successful applicant will also collaborate with academic staff within and outside the Department of Social Work and Development to improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the College. Working with the Head of Department and academics at the Department of Social Work and Development, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will strengthen, maintain, and grow partnerships with the industry.
