You will be contributing to our role as the national regulator to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services.About the TeamThe Operational Strategy and Reporting Section is part of the Regulatory Operations Division within the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. It supports the delivery of strategic, data-driven regulation to ensure quality and safety in aged care.The section coordinates the delivery of strategic, business and budget planning activities, plans and coordinates internal and external strategic communications, and manages corporate reporting, including performance and parliamentary reporting. It provides insights to inform risk, and operational decision-making, while ensuring data accuracy and integrity of reporting.About the RoleThe Senior Advisor will perform a key role in supporting compliance and improved risk management across the sector. The position will also support raising awareness across the sector of common compliance issues that have been detected through the work of the Inspectorate. Through these activities the position will encourage providers to invest in a wider range of self-assurance activities.The role is also key in supporting the group to monitor performance of compliance activities and report against key performance measures for the Regulatory Operations Division. This role will also support the delivery of program planning documents and coordinate the completion of regular risk-based performance reporting.This role offers a unique perspective of working collaboratively across all business areas within the Commission, including with senior leadership. It also provides an invaluable insight and experience in researching and analysing compliance and financial data for the presentation of a variety of reports for senior executive and external stakeholders.Position duties include, but are not limited to:Lead and contribute to the development and delivery of integrated strategies for the Regulatory Operations Division to prepare for legislative reforms, utilising advanced subject matter expertise, operating under limited direction to achieve strategic outcomes, and proactively identifying and managing associated risks.Support the implementation and continuous improvement of regulatory practices by applying sound judgement to adapt current frameworks for legislative reform and proactively seeking innovation to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships across the Commission to consult, exchange information and build consensus on complex and varied matters relating to reform initiatives and implementation activities.Contribute to the development and execution of strategic communication and education initiatives as regulatory tools, coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness.Provide authoritative subject matter expertise under limited direction to lead the development of high-quality educational and communication products that are accurate, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with the Commissions operational, legislative and regulatory requirements.Assist in the development of operational business plans and frameworks by designing and assessing measures of success that are aligned with the PGPA Act and principles of regulatory best practice.Collate, manage and analyse complex qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to support evidence-based decision making and monitor the groups performance against key performance measures.Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience.
