Our dedicated park management team in Technical Support is seeking a passionate individual with a background in conservation and land management. You will be part of a small regional Pest and Biodiversity team working to achieve positive outcomes for Queensland''s protected areas through invasive species management. Skills in weed and pest animal management, project management, planning, and stakeholder engagement are essential. Everyone at our Department recognizes the importance of a healthy environment. In this role, you''ll play a key part in protecting these valuable areas. About You We are looking for individuals passionate about conservation, land management, and collaboration. To succeed, you should also have: Ability to guide and support pest management programs and projects. In-depth knowledge of feral animals, invasive weeds, and biosecurity, including effective techniques aligned with legislation. Strong communication skills to support operational outcomes. Ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders, including pest management partners, planning teams, and First Nations communities. High-level writing and data presentation skills for management planning and strategy development. Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team. Strong initiative, problem-solving, and resolution skills. Fundamentals of project management, including planning, reporting, and budgeting. Mapping and data collection skills (desirable, not mandatory). Willingness to listen, learn, and participate. Why Join Us?
