With industry-leading safety standards, you can focus on doing your best work alongside skilled colleagues while gaining job training to progress your career.The RoleWe are looking for a qualified healthcare professional with:Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of AustraliaTertiary qualification in health management or working towards one, or a combination of study and workOur Nursing Unit Managers provide leadership and manage the delivery of health care services for all patients admitted to Correctional Centres.The position is an integral part of nursing administration and has responsibility and accountability for planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of health services for patients, as well as overseeing the delivery of those services.This includes the coordination and monitoring of service provision and implementing and monitoring activity related to service planning, development, and policy development.This position is required to interface effectively with other managers and service directors within Justice Health and Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) custodial and program staff.Our LocationThe Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and is one of three correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney. Inmates who arrive at the MRRC:Come directly from court on remandStay at the MRRC while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home correctional centre)Stay at the MRRC while they await a vacancy at a centre matching their classification.Most offenders leave the centre within a few months of arrival, usually because they obtain bail (and are released) or transfer to other centres.Salary & BenefitsYour rate of $127,091.34 per annum (+ super and leave loading) is just the beginning.
