Youll oversee strategic communications, sectoral leadership programs, stakeholder experiences, and membership servicesmaking AUSMASA a go-to voice and connector within the national skills ecosystem.This is a unique opportunity to combine influence, purpose, and industry knowledge in a leadership role that delivers tangible change.Key Focus AreasLead AUSMASAs partnership and stewardship strategy across mining, automotive, and related sectorsBuild and manage high-trust relationships with senior stakeholders, shaping national reform agendas and workforce initiativesOversee strategic communications and stakeholder engagement across digital, media, and sector-facing platformsLead AUSMASAs Member Services function and workforce advisory panels, ensuring alignment with national priorities and industry needsRepresent AUSMASA at major forums and collaborate with other Jobs and Skills Councils on joint reform opportunitiesDrive cross-functional coordination internally ensuring engagement aligns with product development, workforce planning, and delivery streamsAbout YouYou are a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the mining, automotive or allied sectorsand you''re equally comfortable in the boardroom, on the factory floor, or briefing a Minister.You bring:Executive-level experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, or communicationsDemonstrated credibility with industry, government, and community leadersExperience leading reform-focused initiatives, ideally in VET, workforce, or adjacent policy areasA confident voice and strategic mindable to build coalitions, tell powerful stories, and translate insight into actionA future-focused mindset and a genuine passion for inclusive, purpose-led changeAbout AUSMASAAt AUSMASA (Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance), we exist to empower Australias mining and automotive sectors through smarter, more responsive vocational education and workforce strategies.
