Job Title Senior Claims Consultant, Protection, Australia (12 months FTC) Job Description The Role This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality claims expertise and add value to Australian insurers. The role involves working with clients to provide technical expertise across all products, including assessment, support, and staff development where required. The consultant will also assist PLRA in building and supporting a claims proposition for the market that aligns with client needs and PLRAs strategic focus. Duties Assessment of Life Insurance Claims across all products for Retail and Group cover, managing internal and external stakeholders. Deliver high-quality client service, including: Meeting client Service Level Agreements Providing credible technical support in line with client plans Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders Develop technical and personal skills to a high level. Support the Claims Manager on all claims-related issues. Assist in achieving team and company goals, as well as individual performance standards. Contribute to developing PLRAs profile and brand in Australia and internationally. Qualifications & Experience At least 5 years of Claims Management experience in a Life (Re)insurer. Experience handling claims for major AU products including Life cover, TPD, Critical Illness, and Income Protection. Experience managing non-disclosure cases and claims involving legal representation. Progression towards or completion of the Claims diploma. Good knowledge of Life & Disability Insurance industry regulations and claims practices.
