About Our Team The School Improvement Team leads and manages BCEs school improvement strategy. Providing support to BCE schools in improving their overall performance, student wellbeing, and learning outcomes. We work in partnership with school leaders to provide support, guidance, and feedback on school improvement initiatives. Key tasks include leading the identification, monitoring, and review process for continuous improvement, applying the SIT framework, collaborating across BCE functions, communicating system-wide learnings, assisting principals in embedding SIT recommendations, ensuring the achievement of system KPIs, and providing professional learning for school and system leaders. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will bring their expertise as a school principal and provide strategic advice to inform, guide, coordinate, and embed the implementation of the BCE School Improvement Process. Location: Woolloongabba Commencing: January 2026 Work hours: 38.00 | Flexible working arrangements available Salary: $219,150 includes super and vehicle Status: Full Time Continuing Ad close date: 09 June 2025 About The Opportunity In this position you will be responsible for: Work collaboratively to shape BCE school improvement processes informed by system and school performance data. Implement School Improvement Review Processes, enabling school leaders to use high-impact, evidence-based approaches to school planning, self-assessment, and review processes. Participate as part of the school review panel, applying the BCE School Improvement Process and supporting resources. Provide advice on the ongoing development and continuous improvement of school review processes to align with BCE priorities. Support Senior Leaders School Progress and Performance in providing differentiated collegial support to Principals, facilitating their connection with BCE strategic priorities and directions. Ensure best practice initiatives are used to improve outcomes for current and future projects, by providing specialist advice and technical leadership. Liaise, consult, and collaborate with stakeholders to support the planning, development, and execution of plan and projects. About You To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Actively identifying opportunities for improvement and resolving complex issues effectively. Led teams, managing projects, and overseeing operations, in a dynamic environment. Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans. Ability to collaborate across multiple teams or departments and positively influence outcomes. Being a member of a Senior Leadership Team and providing subject matter expertise to Executive level. Tertiary qualifications in education with postgraduate qualifications in educational leadership. A minimum of 3 years of recent Principal experience as an instructional leader, with a strong track record of performance improvement and strategic insight.
