Job Description

We are looking for a Hea of Finance with analytical rigor & intellectual drive to lead the financial reporting functions across our 5 brands/business units in Australia & New Zealand. Reporting into the Director of Finance and a part of the finance Senior Leadership Team, you are a qualified and experienced accountant with strong business acumen who wants to make your mark on a successful & growing business and team. You enjoy collaborating with people who possess a diverse set of talents and enjoy managing competing priorities across a variety of topics. You are naturally extremely structured and take pride your work while also seeing your team learn & develop You will Be both accountable and responsible for the entirety of the financial reporting function, from managing a large team to owning all things financial reporting (month-end, internal/external audits, financial statements, senior management reporting pack and monthly results presentation) alongside overseeing our internal AP/AR teams for all legal entities across Australia & New Zealand, Work closely with the finance senior leadership team (locally & with our German head office) to identify and drive team priorities alongside our finance mid to long term strategy and priorities, supporting the steering of both finance and the ANZ businesses Be accountable for reducing the time and complexity of our financial reporting operations, implementing best practice principles, systems and solutions through the development of innovative solutions or from prior experiences with the support of your team, Be responsible for finding and implementing solutions on complex issues (both financial and operational) with a constant mindset of continuous improvement e.g. day to day efficiency gains, internal control improvements and tech/tool enhancements Be a key point of contact in finance for our local exec team & global finance team for all ANZ business units where you will build a strong rapport with all local senior stakeholders Have joint ownership of the budgeting process across all ANZ business units, developing timeliness while reviewing and contributing to key assumptions across the full P+L Have the opportunity to provide in-depth value adding analysis to both financial and non-financial senior management which could have a lasting impact on the group globally (CAPEX, cost controlling, sensitivity analysis)t A Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance and are a qualified CA/CPA (or equivalent) with a number of years experience leading a small/medium sized team (MBA or Masters would be advantageous) Experience leading teams in a significant global entity or a large, complex domestic business with multiple subsidiaries Managerial experience in a large scale fast paced, forward thinking, e-commerce or subscription business would be advantageous Significant experience in managing a team & would consider yourself a natural leader and a team player. You take care in the development of yourself and both your direct and indirect report, Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business in a role which involves offering business critical analysis, insights or information for significant decision making. An eye and appreciation for detail and an understanding of data structures and complex systems/workflows Strong/Advanced use of Excel/Google Sheets (experience with SQL would be advantageous) and experience working with a complex ERP system (Oracle, SAP) with a multi-dimensional chart of accounts structure You are...
