About The Role We are seeking applications for casual Residential Services Assistants to work in our Care Community and Sub Acute sites. You will be required to prepare meals according to residents'' dietary requirements and deliver them within our Care Communities. This role involves working autonomously in the Care Community kitchen. Grampians Health Ballarat has nine Care Communities and two Sub Acute sites. Successful applicants will receive a week of paid training across several Care Communities. The casual bank is managed by the Central Allocations Unit, operating 7 days a week, utilizing an electronic rostering system. To maintain your position, a commitment of 2 shifts per week is required, and living in the Ballarat region is essential. Applicants must provide two referees, including a current direct manager. Please upload a cover letter, resume, and relevant qualifications. Key Responsibilities Maintaining availability in the electronic rostering system and accepting shifts accordingly. Setting up kitchens and dining areas for food service. Preparing and serving meals based on individual dietary needs. Ensuring safe food handling and maintaining records. Maintaining a safe and welcoming dining environment. Cleaning and laundry duties as applicable. Working effectively within a team. Participating in annual performance reviews. Committing to ongoing mandatory education. Skills and Experience Current HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Handling Practices certificate or willingness to obtain. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently. Person-centred and respectful approach to care.
