Cherry Picker Operators - Avocado Picking QLDLocation:Blackbutt, QLDCherry Picker (EWP) Operator Position Summary:Join us as an experienced Cherry Picker Operator (also known as an Elevated Work Platform - EWP) at our client''s avocado orchards and play a vital role in harvesting avocados at height. This is a casual position with ongoing work for harvesting and then pruning after harvest.Picker Key Responsibilities:Harvest avocados by working at heights using a cherry picker/EWPInspect avocados for quality and adhere to picking standards.Safely operate and maintain machinery.Transport harvested avocados to collection points.Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.Report issues promptly to management.Skills & Qualifications:Previous experience in fruit picking (avocados preferred).Ability to work at heights and experience in safely operationg EWPs.Understanding of WHS standards and quality control.Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor.Attention to detail and good communication skills.Valid driver''s license and own vehiclePerformance Goals:Meet daily and weekly picking targets.Maintain high-quality standards with minimal errors.Adhere strictly to safety protocols.Ensure equipment is well-maintained.Suitable for Working Holiday Visa holdersseeking to complete their regional work. There is ongoing casual work available from July to January. Typically 10-12hr working days, Mon-Sat if weather and conditions allow.Hourly wage is $29.33.No accommodation is available on site. Accommodation can be found at local caravan parks, motels or pub/hostel.
