K and Gz is a family-run eat-in caf with a drive-thru option located in Goulbourn, NSW. We are looking for a skilled breakfast and lunch Cook with experience working in busy kitchens.About the Role:As a Cook in our team, you will report to the Chef in Kitchen and the Head Chef, assisting in kitchen operations to deliver high-quality service to our customers. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist in designing the caf menu based on sales and customer demand.Ensure all food is cooked properly, served timely, and presented well.Prepare in-house fresh dough, sauces, and toppings for consistent quality.Manage food portion control, wastage, and stock purchasing (receipts and storage).Support smooth food preparation operations and assist the Kitchen Chefs.Pay close attention to food presentation and detail.Handle equipment, appliances, smallwares, supplies, and tools effectively and as required.Adhere to Australian food safety standards and codes of practice.Train new staff if needed.Daytime shifts only for now.About You:Successful candidates will have:A minimum of two years of relevant experience.Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery).Efficiency, organization, and effectiveness.Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.High standards of food and personal hygiene.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.This is a full-time, permanent position.
